When families are in crisis, whether due to divorce, domestic violence, or other issues, finding the right resources is essential to navigating the difficult times ahead. In Georgia, there are a variety of organizations, support services, and community programs designed to help families in need of legal, emotional, or financial support.

One key resource for families in crisis is the Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP), which provides free or low-cost legal assistance to low-income individuals in need. GLSP can help with family law matters such as divorce, child custody, and domestic violence. Additionally, the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence (GCADV) offers a wealth of resources, including shelters, legal aid, and counseling for victims of domestic violence.

In many communities throughout Georgia, local family service organizations offer counseling, financial assistance, and support groups for families dealing with divorce or separation. These organizations can provide critical help in areas such as co-parenting, navigating child custody arrangements, and managing the emotional challenges that often accompany family law matters.

Moreover, the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) provides services that assist with child support enforcement, child welfare, and family preservation programs. Their resources help ensure that children’s needs are met and that families can receive financial support when needed.
